Phew…….Wedding season is well and truly here! May was a really busy month for us ending up in the very last week with four gorgeous weddings over four pretty full on days! Aching feet put up at the end of the day, glass of wine in hand; knowing that as we had backed out of each of the venues, we were pleased with the results (although we are always looking for ways to make things even better!)
Our four lovely brides all had very different ideas and colour schemes and so we had a tricky time at the flower market having to make a choice from some of the most stunning peonies – everyone’s favourite, amongst other flowers! There are just so many varieties and we may have spent more time there than was strictly necessary!!!!!!
Sylvia’s bouquet was a delicate, all white affair, a mass of roses and sweet peas and smelt divine!
Julia had chosen simple bouquets of pink and white peonies, roses, lisianthus and gypsophila . She wanted a slightly mismatched look, so different coloured bows on the bouquets, made that difference.
In complete contrast Emily wanted stunning colour to compliment the coral of her bridesmaids’ dresses. Her bouquet really popped, a mass of coral peonies and beautiful roses in pink and orange….. We loved it! Her flowers looked great at Hampton Court House. Her bouquets are the ones at the top of our blog.
Isabella’s table centres at Great Fosters in Egham.
For Isabella, who wanted a subtle yet beautiful feel, we made arrangements of creams, pinks and soft greens using yet more blousy peonies, delicate pink roses and green hydrangea heads. She really wanted to include succulents and their textures and colours added a whole new feel to the bouquets.
Four happy brides and three now recovered florists who are really hoping that the promise of a sunny UK summer is accurate!
